Just a disclaimer, although being somewhat of a noob to Korea still (4 years and counting) I have a Korean wife and do enjoy life here so I don't want people getting their knickers in a twist over my daily gripe or moans, just my light hearted take on things as they come.
So today the autobik-eh as they say in Konglish (read as motorbike/scooter)
Now when I went to Thailand and we where stayed in Koh Phan Yang, there was nothing but dirt tracks, no pavements or roads as such to be seen, so I can understand little scooters all over the place as a quick way to get around, heck the guys desperate to get their "girlfriend" back to their room for "quality time" is understandable.
BUT in Korea, the land of Samsung, Hyundae and LG to name but a few, a country which 98 percent of its population have some connection to high speed broadband internet, I absolutely refuse to put up with Freakin' Pizza, noodle, various other food deliveries, or random old Mr Kim from down the road, driving their shitty little scooter on the path/sidewalk/pavement. Seriously WTF guys the road runs parallel to the path, yes the roads are crowded but the pavements are equally if not more so!
One day I'm going to clothesline one of these suckers. The next few months in hospital repairing my broken bones would probably be worth the trouble.
A brief update on my Myspace blog again today folks, sorry! Just had to add something extra as in the last two days I've had two more funny experiences. Firstly a few days ago a autobik-eh driver was driving along the pavement wearing a baseball cap with "drunken" written on it, Classic. Then today whilst I was talking to an old student of mine another driver heading towards me shouted out "CAREFUL!" after these two incidents i may have changed my mind about these chappies after all!
