Apologies another lazy day means another blog stolen from my old myspace blog

So where was I? ah bibimbap, a simple enough delicacy but one close to my heart. With the Waygook population here though it seems to have a bit of a marmite characteristic, that is to say its either loved or hated. I can understand why some people may not like it as it certainly does resemble the aftermath of the average Korean's meal, in more ways than one if you catch my drift...nevertheless its a dish I enjoy.
Bibimbap is a simple enough dish as well, simply take (as pictured) a stone pot or dolsot (if your making dolsot bibimbap that is) Its a kind of fancy oven dish, add rice, and various veggies usually including mushrooms, cucumber bean sprout and the like, add a little bit of bulgogi and a fried egg, a bit of kyoujujang (apologies for the spelling) and voila! hey presto you have dolsot bibimbap. I particularly like dolsot bibimbap as the stone dish really makes the rice on the bottom and around the side nice and chewy.
The next part of the process is where most people perhaps lose their interest in Bibimbap, as looking at how nicely presented the picture is you'd think leaving it as is would be best, but nope, you then stir all the ingedients together making it look a right jumble of all sorts of odds and sods, hence the quip about the aftermath of someones dinner.
Bibimbap is a relatively inexpensive dish too, costing between 5000-8000 won in my neck of the woods in Suwon, although I'm sure plenty of folks out there will have recieved a bigger dish for much less!
In other news
This weeks episode of lost, while not the most exciting, was another good episode for giving us some answers, who are jacob and the smokey mib, why are they there what is their agenda and so forth, we also finally get to find out who the skeletons in the cave belonged to, or as Locke refered to them as "Our very own Adam and Eve" ...quite apt?
Also I've been checking out Luther, a new bbc drama staring old Stringer Bell from The Wire, he's been getting around a lot lately what with his appearance in The Losers, The Office and the like. I was surprised to find out he's actually a Brit too, I'm not to great with the celeb news and gossip though so you'll have to forgive me there!
