I've obviously slacked on reading the gossip columns as I thought this was to be the final final show, when I saw the run time clocking in at the usual 42 odd minutes though I got the feeling that that wouldn't be the case and checking out Ign's own episode review it seems we have one more series to come.
Personally I enjoyed the old Supernatural style just hunting various monsters, banter between the brothers and the like, but this angel and demons story has been going on for a couple of series now, and it's still been pretty fun so I've stuck with it.
There wasn't really anything unpredictable about the show but I did like the reference to the audience 'always bitching about something' which will no doubt be evident soon enough in shows like Lost and 24 which are also to end pretty soon.
To be honest I can't see where the show can go next season as this to be did seem to be a season finale everything is pretty much resolved, but there is enough open ends to keep us wanting more, so lets hope the sixth season doesn't end the show on a sour note.
Heroes cancelled
On a side note I see Heroes is to go the way of the dodo and has officially been cancelled. To be honest I enjoyed the first series and thought it had a lot of potential but after that it kind of stuttered and wasn't able to hold my interest in the same way. If you haven't already checked it out and have a renewed superhero urge that needs a quick fix you could do worse to watch it.
Fun Fact
Hiro's friend in this show Ando, is actually a Korean native, born in Seoul, who moved with his family to New York at the age of 10, Japanese my arse!
It's not over until the fat lady sings
Fear not though Heroes fans as Deadline Hollywood is apparantly reporting that there may be a 2-4 hour special that conclusively wraps up the show, so although I've not been as avid a follower as during the first season it would be nice to see things wrapped up properly rather than Clare doing her, "this is attempt number I guess I've lost count" bull.
I did enjoy Tea-bag (Robert Knepper) in this series though, not quite as interesting as his Prison Break character but he made a good enough bad guy..Oops my bad, he's obviously not Tea-bag in Heroes, but Samuel a pretty boring name by comparison
