It may not exactly look pretty, but to be honest I don't think chicken is a particularly attractive bird to look at (It's certainly no Lee Hyori see below) but it certainly hits the spot. Priced at around man won (10,000) its one of the more expensive meals of the day mentioned thus far. In fairness however you are getting a whole Chicken for your dosh.
The chicken is cooked to such a level that the meat is very easy to tear off the bone with chopsticks, even a two left handed clumsy sod like me could do it.
The chicken is also stuffed with rice so it makes a pretty hearty meal. I usually prefer this is in the winter but its equally nice in the summer. The shop we go also provides a kind of ginsinge soju for your drinking pleasure. The typical korean side dishes of kimchi are present and also the place we frequent has pretty nice gocho (green chillies) they're usually pretty fat and long and nowhere near as spicy as the little skinny bastards, watch out for them!
So for your viewing pleasure heres Lee Hyori as mentioned earlier, she's one of the Soju poster girls, because here soju is fresh delicious and light. Not strong hangover inducing crap at all, oh no. Just as a clue to the quality you can pick up a cheap bottle for about chon won 1000 won (50p) the more fancy ones will set you back as much as 3000 (1.50)
It's certainly a cheap way to get drunk but not my idea of a good time.
The Piles of kimchi flowers/pizzas on the streets of suwon station would suggest the youngsters also didn't drink it because they liked it, oh no siree!
Unfortunatly google search has let me down and I'm unable to find appropriate photos of kimchi flowers, I'll have to add them later.
