Event of the Day - Gwangju tomato festival

We happened to stumble across this little festival on the weekend whilst on our journey to YangPyeong. It was relatively early on the Saturday, about 10-10:30 to be exact, so there wasn't many people around. Plenty of people selling tomatoes mind. We picked up a nice big box of Cherry Tomatoes for about 10,000\ Much better than the stuff we usually pick up in the supermarkets and for almost the same price.

Scenes such as on the left were few and far between on the Saturday but on Sunday, when we returned again (It was THAT exciting on the Saturday!) we could see the kids in the midst of battle, a pretty young girl was interviewing one of the boys too, not sure if that was for the news or what but if you do catch a waygook face in the crowd, giving a piggy back to a young baby, its more than likely me!
